03/13/07:
Pictures and videos have been updated.
03/12/07:
Things have been pretty crazy at the Jacobsen household. Veronica has been very busy with her Doula business. She has been getting a couple of new clients a month, which is really good, especially just starting out. She is very happy and really enjoys it, but it is keeping her very busy. Along with that, she is also studying to get her Series 7 certification. For those of you who don't know what that is (like me)...well, go look it up. It has something to do with financial things and trading or something like that. I'm pretty sure she has explained it to me no fewer than 10 times, but it never seems to stick.
Lily is doing well too. She is learning more words everyday and never ceases to amaze us with the things she picks up along the way. She now has a number of dollies that she likes to play with and talk to, but there are a few that are her favorites. She loves to help us do things around the house like cleaning or feeding the dogs (I hope that never goes away). As part of her morning ritual, she helps me feed the dogs and helps her mom eat a breakfast cookie. :-) Lily has also started potty training...well, she actually started about a month or two ago. For those of you who might be thinking "Let your child be a child", this was entirely her choice. One day, she walked into the bathroom and stood by the toilet. We asked if she had to go potty and she responded "yeah". So we put her on and she went. The rest is...still being written. She has her good weeks and she has her not so good weeks. But she is trying.
I haven't been too terribly busy, but I did start a new batch of wine. I'm working on an Italian Pinot Grigio. We're about halfway through right now, so it should be done in 3-4 more weeks. We're really looking forward to this batch because we can use it for cooking, which is our primary reason for choosing it. It will be nice to have a seemingly endless supply of cooking wine. Hope it turns out. I will eventually be putting up a page dedicated to wine making and my wine making adventures. At least that is the hopes anyway.
That is about all I have to say right now. I will soon be updating the pictures page as well and possibly even the videos.
02/07/07:
Alright, the picture page *snicker* has been updated with more joy-filled pictures of our little exercise machine. Eventually, I'll try to get some holiday pictures out, but you all know how good I am about getting normal pictures out. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy.
01/16/07:
I figured two whole months would be just way too long to go without updating the website. :-p
So the last two months have been pretty crazy for all of us here at the Jacobsen household. November kind of ramped us into the Christmas season, preparing us for the joyousness that is Christmas/birthday/new year.
Right around the middle of December, Veronica's youngest sister, Anna, came to stay with us for her Christmas break. We were very glad to have her spend the time with us and Lily was especially happy to see her. Last time Lily saw her, she was still crawling...Lily, was still crawling, not Anna. Then Lily decided it was time to start walking while Anna was in the air on her way back to school. Anyway, it was very nice to see Anna and have an extra set of arms, legs, and eyes around the house to help watch Lily. Anna was even nice enough to let Veronica and I enjoy an evening of dining and shopping with just the two of us. Date nights are nice, but very far between.
The week of Christmas welcomed me with a stomach virus which haunted me for a mere 2-3 days. It wasn't serious, but it was far from a good time. Better by Christmas, we all joined my family in Red Wing for festivities. We all had a really good time and it was actually quite relaxing...until Christmas eve when my dad came down with a stomach virus. We all thought I gave it to him, but his turned out to be far worse than mine. A couple days later, my mom got it...then my brother got it. Somehow, my Grandma manager to steer clear of it. I think she has built up complete and utter immunity to everything under the sun. Super Grandma, the kids all call her. She certainly is super. :-)
Not to be left out, Lily ended up getting the stomach virus later that week. I have to tell you, after seeing her standing up playing with her toys one moment and vomit shooting out of her mouth the next, she is no longer a little baby to me. We all felt so bad for her, she didn't really know what was happening and kept good spirits for a couple of hours. Veronica and I decided it would be a good idea that night to take turns staying up and holding her. That is until I started throwing up. That's right, I got the stomach virus...again...about 3 hours after Lily. This one was much stronger and lasted about a week all in all. Thankfully, Anna and Veronica had not gotten the virus and were able to take care of Lily and myself...for a day or two, then Anna got sick. And just as I was feeling better, Veronica got it. Yes, this virus, which I would later find out to be a Norovirus, infected every member of the household. Keep in mind that the first time we saw Lily throw up, we disinfected and sanitized just about everything in the house. We even used hand sanitizer as recommended by the Minnesota Dept. of Health. This was a very nasty bug. So nasty that Lily even had to be taken to the ER to make sure she wasn't getting dehydrated. She was only mildly dehydrated so we were told to go home and keep doing what we've been doing. A couple days later she hadn't really showed any sign of improvement so we brought her to see our normal doctor, who said the same thing the ER doctor said. She ended up going back one more time before she finally started to come around again...just in time to start cutting 3 molars. This poor little girl.
My birthday and our New Years was spend at home, in pajamas, barely capable of staying up past 10pm. Thankfully, one of my sisters-in-law and her husband got me a really cool and fun card game called Munchkin. Check it out, it is really funny. We played it a few times and enjoyed it thoroughly....even Veronica liked it.
Our exciting holiday doesn't end there...let's see, where are we...that puts us at about end of the first week of January or the beginning of the second week of January (last week). Right around then Lily managed to bring home a pretty nasty cold virus. High fevers and plugged nose made for a rough week.
We are all doing much better today, virtually sickness free. Lily's nose is starting to unclog and she no longer has fevers of 103.6. Veronica ended up recovering from her stomach flu about 75% faster than anyone else in the house so she is also back up to full strength. Anna has gone back to Santa Fe, NM where she is going to school and I...well, I'm still me.
So, now you understand the delay in updating the page. Sorry to have to write down so much in one sitting, but I had to get it out.
I am going to work on some pictures now and will hopefully get them up soon too. I would also like to thank those who have signed our guestbook. I really do appreciate it.
Take care.
11/17/06:
I finally did it. I finally added some new features to our website. I now have a blog and our main site now has a Guestbook. It may not be the prettiest guestbook out there, but it gets the job done. I still haven't added any new pictures yet though, but I'm sure they will get here sooner or later. I also have a video to post when I get time.
11/15/2006:
Greetings and salutations. It has been pretty crazy around the Jacobsen household, hence the lack of a more recent posting. Veronica has been very busy with her doula certification. She has been taking some classes at one of the local hospitals, working on getting clients, and starting to think of a business plan. She even has some business cards and pamphlets available in case anyone is interested. This week is extremely hectic for her. She had a class yesterday, another tonight, and then has to drive up to the cities on Thursday and Friday for some more training. Needless to say, she is looking forward to the weekend like she hasn't in a long time.
Work is going very well for me. For the first time in a VERY long time (possibly ever), I really enjoy my job. I get to work with all sorts of different operating systems from HP Unix and AIX to Linux and Windows. I am learning a lot about the *nix operating systems which is what I really wanted. I also get to play with low and medium range IBM, Sun, and HP servers and soon a high-end server which will cost more than I make in many years.
I know, who cares about the adults. What about the baby?!?!?! "Tell us about the baby!!!" OK. Lily is doing great. She is learning new things all the time like how to throw things down the stairs (thank mom for that one), how to turn on and off the TV...repeatedly, how to give kisses without opening your mouth, and how to make people laugh. She is also starting to pick up on the baby sign language that we have been using. She knows Milk, more, eat, and water. Strange how they all revolve around food...
That's about all I can think of for right now. Unfortunately, I haven't updated anything else. Just don't have the time. Have a great Thanksgiving!!
10/08/2006:
Lily has, in the eyes of the IRS, officially been a part of our family for one year now (and 3 days). A year ago I couldn't fathom what it would be like to have a little baby running around our house, now I can't imagine what it would be like without her. I now know the joys of coming into the house after getting home from work and being greeted by pattering footsteps and shrieks of "daddy" rounding the corner into the kitchen. It's quite an amazing feeling to know that someone loves you in a way that no one outside of your family could ever love you. More and more everyday I see how much she depends on us for safety and love and relies upon us for learning her basic life requirements. I'm a dad now. I provide for someone completely incapable of taking care of themselves, but someone who very well might end up taking care of me one day. It's a wonderfully amazing feeling, being a father, yet at the same time, I want to curly up into a ball and hide until she's grown up and has a family of her own. Who wants to the reason there child is so disturbed they don't belong in public? But then again, who wouldn't want to be the reason their child is a beautiful person and makes everyone around them happy.
So Lily's first birthday party went extremely well. We had a lot of people all crammed into our tiny little house. Thankfully the weather decided to grant us one of the last nice days of the year so we were also able to go outside. I would like to thank everyone for spending the afternoon with us and celebrating Lily's birthday. I wish would could have had all of our aunts and uncles over as well, but space and money were not able to comply.
I have posted some pictures of Lily from her birthday party as well as a video of her eating her cake. I hope you all enjoy it. Veronica has also updated her blog.
09/18/2006:
Videos updated. Added "lilyreading.wmv".
09/16/2006:
In case you haven't been following Veronica's blog, I am no longer working at Hitachi. I am once again working for big blue (IBM), only this time I am a Senior Network Analyst. Sounds pretty cool, huh? Well, it is. I really enjoy it, and I've only worked there for four days now (I started on Tuesday). I am working in the Websphere division supporting all of the Rochester site which includes the developers, engineers, programmers, etc... My position is geared more towards the Linux/Unix side of the biz so I will be brushing up on that side of things.
In other news, Lily is doing very well. She is walking, almost entirely by herself, coming up with new words all the time, and getting into more trouble than you can shake a stick at. She now says dada or daddy, kitty, doggie (sometimes comes out goggie), no, yeah, all done (sometimes), and probably a few more that we just haven't figured out yet. She is also up to 7 teeth now with a possible 8th on its way.
Unfortunately, she is still trying to get used to the idea of having teeth in her mouth and that pushing them together quickly on her tongue doesn't result in a very pleasurable experience. She actually bit her tongue recently and it has turned into quite the boo-boo. Veronica and Grandma J brought her to the doctor on Friday and was told it is normal to happen and that she has a *incoherent mumble* ulcer. He said it will hopefully go away before too much longer and she will be her old happy self again. I hope it is sooner rather than later.
Veronica is keeping busy as she is studying to become a Doula and also possibly a Childbirth Educator. She is very happy and very excited about all the prospects. I would recommend checking out her blog to get the latest information.
I will be working on a Vacation section sometime in the future as we have already gone on two small getaways with Lily. Until then, there are two pictures I would like to show you all. First, I am proud to tell you all I have the arm-span of a Gibbon:
This is one of Leonard and Emily while we were at Gooseberry Falls in northern Minnesota. One of my better shots:
Ok, that's about all I can think of saying tonight. The baby's pages have been updated as well.
08/27/2006:
I added a new Video section to the "All things baby" section. There are some pretty good videos and hopefully we'll be adding more as we go along and the little monster gets bigger.
Speaking of the little monster, she has been doing well in her studies of Toddler-dom and is working hard. She has taken many steps this past week and thinks it is the neatest thing since pacifiers. She is also able to walk while holding only one of her assistants hands now, instead of having to hold both. She is also learning to bark orders, say "No", and give chase. She's growing up so fast.
8/19/2006:
I know what you're thinking. "This guy must be a nut. He's updated his page TWICE in one month. That's crazy." Well, that may be so, but I actually just happened to have some spare time to work on it. I've made quite a few changes, as I'm sure you can see. Not sure how I feel about the color, but I like not having frames. The baby pages are now centralized as well; make things a little more organized. I'm also trying to figure out how to do a guestbook which will also be linked to from this page. As time goes on, we will be adding more and making more changes. One notable addition we plan on making will be videos. We have a crazy ridiculous amount of space we get to use so we figured, why not.
We plan on taking a small vacation up along the north shore in two weeks, which will be nice. I'll try to get some pictures posted from that by the time Lily graduates high school. I will hopefully have some good new on another front by then, but I'm going to keep that a secret until it is a sure thing.
That's about all I can think of writing right now. Feel free to email me at chris@thejacobsens.us if you have any requests for information on the website. I'll do what I can.
08/11/2006:
Yippie!! We finally have a new web hosting company. We have tons of free space to use, high bandwidth, and 1000 email addresses to create. Don't have any pics ready to post yet, but I can give you all an update on how things are going. This also going to enable us to do a lot of different things with the webpage...assuming we have time, that is. Veronica has even created her own blog. It is at www.thejacobsendaily.org Go and check it out. I will be posting this on both the new site and the old site as well, so if you are seeing this on the old site, the new one is www.thejacobsens.us
Ya know how I said Lily will be walking before she starts crawling? Well, she's crawling. She crawls everywhere now, it's crazy. And she's fast. Who knew those little knees could carry her so far in so little time. She also figured out how to crawl up stairs, so that is some more added fun to our day. Luckily the stairs have a door so she can't get to them unless we want her to.
Earlier this week, Lily took her first steps on her own. She was scaling the couch and just decided to try walking on her own. It was actually more of a run, but it was by herself none the less. We're in trouble.
I'll try to add pictures soon.
06/25/2006:
So almost 2 months have passed and we remain as busy as ever. Veronica is really enjoying her job and working as an integral team member with her two bosses. I am still working at the same place I have been working at for what seems like forever. Since we last spoke, we have done many things. Lily had her first visit to the Minnesota Zoo where we found out she is terrified of the Pink Flamingos. We went on our first camping trip, which actually went very well. There were 8 adults, 3 babies, and 4 dogs. Everything went well and Lily managed only to eat a small amount of grass before being caught. Much to her dismay, she was watched even closer after that. She enjoyed walking in the woods (read: being carried), sitting in the grass, playing with her two (boy)friends, and seeing all the new scenery.
Lily is also on her way to walking...most likely even before she is crawling. She loves to lead her human crutch around anywhere she can get to and objects strongly to stopping before she says it's time. She makes new sounds all the time and has also said the following: mama, dada, daga, anna, hi, and bbbbbbbbbb. We don't think she has associated those names with anyone yet, but sometimes it is a little too coincidental.
One last thing before I sign off; there is a good chance that our website will be down for a while coming in the next few weeks. We are looking at switching over to DSL, as Charter's prices are way to high. If this happens, I will be sure to make a final post to let people know. Eventually, I will end up posting the site on a different server, possibly Yahoo. We'll see.
Until next time...
Baby pics are updated.
05/05/2006:
Eesh...2 months without an update...what's a person to do. Sorry about not updating in so long, been muy busy. Ok, so not so much busy as beginning to get our lives adjusted to having a baby. Lily is doing great! We have been working on a "routine" with Lily to get her to bed between 7:30 and 8:00 which has done wonders. We now have our nights free to run around town like teenagers again...ok, so we stay in, but we have free arms to do things. It's great. Lily has also started sleeping all night in her crib. That is a very big deal.
Lily also now has her bottom 2 front teeth. One came in about a week or so behind the other so we had a good two to two and a half weeks of bliss (read: cranky baby). But, she is enjoying her new found ability to grip things between her bottom teeth and her upper gums and yank. I can't imagine it feels good, but she keeps doing it so who knows.
Lily is also just starting to crawl. She can get her little butt in the air and get on her hands and push forward with her legs. She hasn't quite figured out the that you have to move your hands forward too, but she is making progress. I give her another week and she'll know what she's doing.
I really don't have much else to say, so I'll stop wasting time. Until next time....
Pictures are updated.
03/05/2006:
It's unbelievable how fast time flies when you're trying to keep a 5 month old entertained. That's right, today Lily turned 5 months old. Seems like only yesterday she was spitting up with ninja-like stealth and joyously filling her diaper...oh wait, she still is. Well, at least now she is able to hold her own feet up for us while we clean the stuff babies are made of from her little bottom. Not only can she hold her own feet, here is a list of other things she can now do:
-Able to roll over from back to front (learned that the day before she turned 4 months)
-Laughs (mostly when she decides you are worthy)
-Kind of eats baby cereal, but mostly feeds it to her bib and surrounding attire
-Just starting to suck her thumb
-Finally taking a pacifier
-Learning/making all sorts of fun and strange new noises (including singing to herself and grandma)
-Able to sit up by herself, although she looks very compact when she does
-Sticks all things known to man in her mouth, especially sale ads
-Produces enough drool to hydrate a 3rd world country
Veronica and I have also been busy. We saved all the money we charge people to look at Lily and bought us some new carpet and painted our living room. Here are some pics. Hope you like it...we do...and so does Lily. If you don't know what it looked like before, think eating a pumpkin and vomiting. Or you could just look at some of the Baby Pics to see what it looked like.

Updated baby pictures page also. Have a look-see.
By the way, if you want to be notified when I update this site, send me an email. c.jacobsen@charter.net
01/15/2006:
Ok. It's been a long time, I know, but here are more pictures. The holidays were crazy as usual, only we had a baby to join in on the craziness. On top of all the merriment, all three of us had colds. In the true spirit of the holiday, we shared that cold with most of our family as well. Nice, aren't we? Oh well, we all still had a good time.
Not much to say right now so I will just let it be. Enjoy the pics.
11/20/2005:
I'm now beginning to realize the changes that come with having a baby in the house. I remember back when it was Veronica and myself. We could do whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted without having to worry about anyone but ourselves. We could do things at our own pace. Now, we find ourselves worry about places to feed Lily and places to change her diaper if we need to, before we go anywhere. We carry 1 of 3 diaper bags with us wherever we go that has all the essential baby items: 4-5 diapers in the event she experiences expedited mass ejection of unneeded materials, 2 changes of clothes in case of blow outs, a pacifier which doesn't really work, and God's gift to changing diapers...wipes.
I also remember back when things didn't get done because I just didn't want to do them, pure laziness on my part of course (I live in the Procrasti-Nation). Now, things don't get done because I just plain don't have time. It's a strange feeling thinking "I wish I had time to do that" instead of "Hmm...I could be productive and go do it now and get it done. Or, I could do it later and go be unproductive beating the digital tar out of my arch enemy, Jiggly-Puff." It's a strange feeling I may never get used to.
All that said, I must add that I wouldn't change things for the world. It's amazing watching Lily as she becomes more aware of what is going on around her and the different faces she sees and noises she hears. She recently began smiling (other than when she is not-very-secretly passing gas or gleefully creating another dirty diaper). She has this blissful look on her face like watching someone stick their tongue out of their mouth is the most amazing and funny thing she has ever seen. Granted, that's how I feel when I see her do it, but that's a different story. Soon enough she'll be crawling, then she'll be walking, then she'll be driving. I'll be an old man by then, but I won't have regretted a minute.
Pictures have been updated.
11/02/2005:
This summer, Veronica and I planted our first vegetable garden. We planted carrots, green beans, corn, lettuce, and musk melon (cantaloupe). The green beans and the lettuce were really the only things that turned out, but the carrots were a close second. The carrots looked a little strange though...but I'll let you be the judge.

Is that not the strangest looking carrot you have ever seen? What in the world is our dirt doing the carrots? That is what most of them looked like...only not quite as "girthy".
Anyway, I have also updated pictures on the "Baby Pictures" page. Enjoy.
10/29/2005:
I just updated the "Baby Pictures" page with a bunch of pics of Lillian. Check them out.
10/23/2005:
Going against the grain of the family heritage, Lillian Michaela Jacobsen was born ahead of schedule. She was born on October 5th, 2005 at 11:45 in the pm. She weighed in at 7lbs. 8oz with a length of 20 inches.
Labor:
Labor is something that a first time parent, no matter how many books are read or people are talked to, will never fully comprehend until that moment when those few words are uttered; "I think my water broke." When you hear those words, you see the world around you moving at the speed of light, but you seem to have slow down to a snail's pace. As you're gathering the bags and taking care of those last few items at the house before leaving, you're thinking to yourself, the next time you see this place, it will be with a new, tiny person, that you helped bring into this world. As you load your things into your vehicle and prepare for the journey to the hospital, you can't help but wonder what the next few hours will bring. Thoughts of a fast, smooth, relatively painless labor and delivery tiptoe through your mind as if being careful not to jinx things. Not long after you begin enjoying those thoughts, the scary ones creep in. Anything that could go wrong (or even couldn't go wrong) flood your mind chasing away as many signs of hope as itself takes up. Not wanting to show how scared you are, you hide your feelings and push on.
Traffic seemed to be at its worse that day. People driving below the speed limit, trying to be safe...crazy people. It seemed to take hours to get to the hospital which was only 5 minutes away. Then the fun began.
Officially, Veronica's labor began at 11:30am on Oct. 4th. We take lunch at 12:30, which is when we realized that her water broke. We got to the hospital around 1:00 and got settled in. Hours passed as we tried to help move things a long. We walked the halls for about an hour or so. Veronica took a shower. She sat on the birthing ball (didn't help). Nothing seemed to work. Finally, around 11:00pm or so, the doctors came in and put her on a drip of Pitocin and Fentanyl. Baby and mom didn't fare well with this as baby's heart rate began dropping around the time of contractions (normally, it should go up). They took her off the meds at around 1am. The contractions spaced out a little more, allowing Veronica and baby to recover slightly. After many doctors and a few amazing nurses, 6am came with 2 options: Start the Pitocin drip again, this time with an Epidural to numb the pain or wait it out and risk having an emergency C-Section. Against our original wishes, we opted for the Pitocin and Epidural. To anyone who says "It can't be done without an Epidural", it can. Veronica made it 20 hours before she finally took one. They finally got the meds started at around 7:30. Mom, dad, baby, and Grandma were finally able to get some much needed rest (45 minutes or so). 11:00am came with welcome news. Veronica was pretty much ready to give birth. In the span of about 4 hours, she dilated 5cm thanks to the Pitocin. The doctors didn't believe her when she told them she was ready to push. Until, that is, the delivering doctor checked her and said there is a head on its way. 4 contractions and 15 minutes later, the latest member of our family arrived into this world, cold, crying, and covered in what I will only describe as "cream cheese and raspberry jelly."
I think I grew up a little bit in that room. Not only did I watch my own baby get born, but I watched as she took her first real breaths of air, saw things through blurry eyes for the first time, let out her first indescribably beautiful scream, and made first contact with both of her parents (and grandmother). It's an amazing thing, birth.
Things have been going well since we arrived home a couple of days after that. We have learned many new lessons that will never be forgotten. Some of these lessons, I feel, are very important lessons that are not stressed enough in the prenatal classes. Allow me to share some of them:
1. Babies, much like college students, like to party all day and all night long. You know how when the baby was still in the womb, it would move around every hour or so? She still does that after being born. For some reason, she doesn't understand nighttime is for sleeping and day time is for being awake. I think she used her "Real World Manual" as a beer coaster before she was born.
2. Meconium is pure evil. It will stick to anything it touches and attempt to lull you into a false belief that it doesn't stink. It stinks....oh, does it stink. It's a very subtle stink, however, not showing its true face until you stick your nose closer to make sure it doesn't stink. Than it unleashes its vile hatred onto your scent glands making sure you never forget exactly what you are dealing with. Do NOT give in to its trickery.
3. Infants, don't like bathes. They will scream and scream until they are sure they can't scream any louder or longer, then scream some more. They also feel the tub is a large diaper, meant to catch things they may "drop".
4. Babies will try to nurse off anything put in front of them. Things included, but it not limited to: cheeks, arms, hands, fingers, noses, necks, shirts, and blankets.
Before I sign off for now, I would just like to thank Lily's Grandparents. They have all been an invaluable source of support, accommodating every one of our needs, and unbelievably helpful. Without them, we would have been lost. Thank you Pat, Len, Teri, and Ron. I would also like to thank the Aunts and Uncles of Lily. Their support has not gone unnoticed. And to our friends in Rochester (and out east) who have stopped by to help out, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
I will start posting pictures soon. I promise.
10/01/2005:
Well, this month is the month. We've had a couple of excellent practice runs that have given us a very good idea of what to expect...at least for the first couple of hours. Baby is still doing well. The doctor says she has a strong heart beat and is head down and facing the right direction for birth. She is a very active baby, square dancing and pit diving inside her little room. We're pretty sure she's packing things up and cleaning house as we speak, getting ready for the big move. We'll keep you posted.
We would also like to thank everyone that was a part of our baby showers. It was great seeing everyone and spending time with you all. We got a lot of great gifts which will all be used for a long time.
Ok, I'm working on making some updates to the site over the next couple of days that will add some content and make it a little more worth coming. Our lovely service provider (cha*cough*rte*cough*r) doesn't feel it necessary to offer any of the fun services that most webpages have already, so I will just have to make do with what I have. I hope it looks ok.
08/16/2005:
Yea, yea, yea. I know, "I'll add more later" he says. Well, things have been a little busy lately. Things have been extremely hectic at work for both of us. I've been spending the last couple of weeks getting ready to transition to a new employer because my old employer's contract was not going to be renewed (long story). Today was actually my first day with that new employer. I'm at the same job, doing the same thing, just being paid by someone else. Although the pay is better and the benefits are better as well. I'm liking this.
Veronica has been busy at her job as well, mostly waiting to see what would happen with my job so she could work out maternity leave and return with her boss. She will be going back part time about 6 weeks after the baby is born. We'll see how that goes. Hopefully it will all work out for the better.
We had a visit with the doctor today. Veronica is right around the weight she is supposed to be which is very good. She looks great and I'm not just saying that. The baby is doing very well. She has a strong heart beat and is very active.
We also had a shower about two weeks ago. We got a lot of really great gifts for the baby. We're very excited to see the baby's room really taking shape. It was really great to see everyone at the shower. It has been a very long time since I have seen them and they all appear to be doing well. Thank you all for the gifts.
Ok, I know this site is a pretty big let down. When I have time, I'll try to whip out something really cool. Until then, you get this. If you have any suggestions, shoot me an email.
Until next time...

Well, we're all growed up now. We went out and traded in our Ford Taurus for a Mercury Villager Minivan. Here are some links:
Passenger side Driver side Back seat Front seat
It drives really well too, except for that one tire that looks like it's from a hot wheel...seems a little unsafe (haha...just kidding, the tire is fine).
Ok, back to life. I'll add more later.

The beginnings of our site (duh). Alright, I'm still trying to get used to this Frontpage 2000 thing so the site is going to be touch and go. If you notice something wrong....live with it for now. Give me time to fix it.
